High Plains Church Unitarian Universalist

Our Whole Lives

Our Whole Lives is a comprehensive sexuality-education program using age-appropriate curricula to teach about safety, responsibility, mutuality, and healthy relationships. Unitarian Universalists believe that when it comes to sex, knowledge is power and ignorance is inexcusable. There are O.W.L. programs for grades K-1, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 however not all are offered every year. Currently the O.W.L. program is available to 10-12 grade youth.

Our Whole Lives, Sexuality and Our Faith for 5th and 6th graders

Coming to High Plains this spring! We know that honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.
